Working together Individual therapy 1. Let’s work together to create a space that feels safe and connected

1. Let’s work together to create a space that feels safe and connected

Dear Friends,

I am writing to you only now, as we are about to approach the 6’th week of our confinement. It took me a while to make sense of the world-shattering events that have affected us all. As health professionals, we are thought that human connection is essential. As #therapists, we are taught about empathy and deep connection. We are taught to read faces and speak to what may be unspeakable. Now, in order to stay safe for ourselves and for those around us we are living a new life, one of #socialdistancing. By now, we know that how well we handle social distancing determines our lives going forward.

I am very aware that surviving this #crisis requires a shift in mindset, testing our limits, and our previous comfort zone. It may be tougher than we think, especially in the face of uncertainty. Fear and anxiety can drive us to become very self-focused. This is exactly the reason why staying connected and remaining as much regularity of life practices as possible, including therapy seems to be important. After all, it is a resource for both #stressrelief and #empowerment. Please contact me. Zoom/face time/phone. We can work together to create a space that feels safe and connected.
In the meantime, I hope you are well, taking care of yourselves, and finding a way to connect with people you love.

Thank you and stay well.
